Coool! But there’s loads of other huge fish to be capture be recreational anglers that go fishing in Thailand as you can see. And many of them are in fact from the Amazon!

Awesome Stingray. There seem to be huge fish in Thailand. I wonder why that is. Is the water less fished in their area of the world? Or, these just bigger breeds of fish.

The Giant Freshwater Stingray featured in the article were caught by the Fishsim team in Thailand.We are currently engaged in a research program concerning Giant Freshwater Stingray sanctioned by the Royal Dept of Thai Fisheries.We are working closely with Dr.Zeb Hogan in the study of these creatures.We have captured 48 different specimens from both the Ban Pakong and Maeklong Rivers in Thailand with weights to an estimated 220kg’s.
