Reel Good Fishing

I was fishing a small lake on Saturday afternoon. It was an over cast day with a 95% chance of rain within the hour or two.

I was throwing a Zoom frog in some thick lilly pads and aquatic grass hoping to entice a nice Bass. I casted beyond the area that looked fishy and saw the water boil as something was coming closer and closer to my frog. I was thrilled and reminded my self to calm down a bit when “snap”, my frog was inhaled by a three foot alligator. He just started chomping on it. I tried to retrieve my frog (not catch the gator) as if it were snagged on something, without setting the hook.

Fortunately, he let go and left me only with a clump of weeds. By the way, never try to catch a gator no matter the size.
